The reality star and entrepreneur loves her lip liner – like, really loves it. We caught up with Lisa Barlow to talk about her lifelong obsession with M·A·C (aw), her go-to lip combos, and why you should always, ALWAYS overline – right here on M·A·Czine.
A KILLER LIP COMBO
“Being on the cover of M·A·Czine is like nothing out of my wildest dreams,” says Lisa Barlow. “I have been the biggest lover of M·A·C Makeup since the 90s. I walked block upon block to get the first ever collab with RuPaul and it’s just surreal and kinda kismet that we’re partnered together now.”
It’s no secret she remains committed to a killer lip combo. (“Everyone had me signing their hand with their liners,” she says. IYKYK.) Her current favourite shades? “I love Velvet Teddy – and there’s different variations of Velvet Teddy, too. It just depends on my vibe; I love Soar, Whirl, and] Dervish. People grossly underestimate the importance of a killer lip line; you have to use a combo.”

“No matter what season I’m in, no matter what look I wanna create, I can always find the perfect product from M·A·C,” she says.
So, what would a M·A·C x Lisa Barlow lip shade look like you wonder? Don’t worry. Naturally, she has some ideas.
“If I were naming the perfect shade, I have a few ideas… ‘Between Us’ – I love that because it’s like ‘keep a secret’ and most people can’t. I’m really good at it. I’m a Sag and I keep secrets forever. ‘Boldly Barlow’ - like, I love that. ‘Outside the Lines’ – we should think, live, and line outside the lines. ‘Boredom Banish’ – because you can never be bored when you’re lining your lips.” Amen.
